2017-03-01 Power Outage in St. Gallen
On Wednesday morning there was a large power outage in St. Gallen. For this reason, the ASPSMS system was not available from 10:01 - 10:44 CET.
Between 11:35 and 11:55 CET, parts of the ASPSMS system were again affected and not reachable.

2016-11-28 Due to technical reasons, ASPSMS web service, Outlook Mobile Service and SMSBLASTER.COM web edition were not available from 08:01 to 08:10 CET.

2016-11-21/22 Between 22:20 and 14:38 CET no delivery notifications were processed for some networks. Germany and Italy in particular were affected by this behavior. The behavior had no effect on the effective delivery of the SMS.

2016-10-27 Due to a technical malfunction within the ASPSMS system from 16:49 to 17:09 CET, SMS to Swisscom clients or to networks routed through Swisscom were not immediately delivered.
All SMS were buffered and delivered with delay after the problem was solved.

2016-10-11 From 07:41 to 11:11 CET it was possible that the delivery notifications of many major european operators were not properly returned to the ASPSMS system. However, the text messages were delivered.

2016-08-20 Because of a technical malfunction at one of our Backbone-Providers our systems were not reachable starting from 23:14 - 01:43 CET and it was not possible to send SMS. The problem was solved. Scheduled SMS planned to be sent during the failure, were sent afterwards.

2016-08-11 Power Outage in St. Gallen
Parts of Eastern Switzerland were briefly with no electricity. For this reason, the ASPSMS system was unreachable 21:51 - 21:56 CET.

Due to unspecified problems in the roaming of mobile operator Salt, Salt customers abroad were temporarily unavailable. SMS to affected Salt-Customers were delivered with massive delay.

Due to a power outage at the network operator Salt, Salt customers in the regions of Zurich, Eastern Switzerland and Ticino were temporarily unavailable. SMS to affected Salt-Customers were delivered with massive delay.

2016-06-09 Important maintenance work to improve the ASPSMS system was performed on Saturday, June 25th 2016 between 04:00 - 06:00 CET. This lead to a service interruption of approx. 30 minutes. All interfaces (APIs) could not be reached during the service interruption. Scheduled SMS planned to be sent in this period, were sent afterwards.


2016-06-09 Disturbance in the international IP Transit: Possible delays when sending SMS to some european operators between 13:20 - 13:53 CET.

2016-05-10 Because of a massive malfunction at a major Swiss network partner, SMS to several networks were not delivered. The problem first occured at 14:15 CET and was finally resolved at 15:35 CET.

2016-04-12 Important maintenance works to improve the ASPSMS system were performed on Tuesday, April 12th 2016 between 04:00 - 06:00 CET. This le to a longer than expected service interruption from 04:07 - 05:47 CET. All interfaces (APIs) could not be reached during the service interruption. Scheduled SMS planned to be sent in this period, were sent afterwards.

2016-02-15 In the greater area of the ASPSMS datacenter there was a technical malfunction at the infrastructure of one of our Backbone-Providers. Because of that, our systems were partially not reachable for some customers between 16:59 and 17:04 CET. The solution to the problem was confirmed by the backbone provider at 17:21.

2016-02-09 Because of a technical malfunction at one of our Backbone-Providers our systems were not reachable starting from 04:02 CET and it was not possible to send SMS. The problem was solved at 09:04 CET.

2015-10-13 Short Service Interruption
Shortly before 19:00 CET briefly a problem with the SMS processing occured. The problem was detected immediately and solved within less than 5 minutes.

2015-09-18 SMTP Interface Malfunction
Because of a technical malfunction of the SMTP interface it was not possible to send SMS for 18 minutes from 12:04 - 12:22 CET.

2015-09-17 Technical Malfunction
Because of a technical malfunction of a database, it was not possible to send SMS for 12 minutes from 14:31 - 14:43 CET.

2015-08-24 Temporary offline
Because of a technical malfunction within the physical and the virtual infrastructure, the ASPSMS system was not available between 12:32 and 13:06 CET. The Both XML interfaces were not available until 14:02 CET.

2015-08-24 Several small technical problems
Due to the announced service interruption on August 22nd, 2015 we had to make several minor adjustments. This led to smaller interferences on some interfaces.

2015-08-22 Planned service interruption
Due to a system upgrade, the ASPSMS System will not be available for maximum 2h on Saturday, August 22nd within the time frame 01:00 AM - 04:00 AM CET.

2015-04-24 Due to a technical malfunction at one of our network partners, ASPSMS was not able to deliver SMS to Germany O2-numbers starting 23.04.2015 10:30 CET. The text messages were buffered by the ASPSMS system but nevertheless delivered after resolving the problem. The problem was resolved 24.04.2015 09:40 CET.

2015-04-09 Power Outage in St. Gallen
Much of the city was briefly with no electricity. For this reason, the ASPSMS system was unreachable 10:27 - 11:24 CET.

2015-04-09 XML Interface
SSL Certificate Renewal

The certificates for the following URLs were renewed on April 9, 2015:

  • https://xml1.aspsms.com/
  • https://xml2.aspsms.com/

In general, no action is required on your part! Most environments recognize the new certificate automatically.

They are affected only if your system environment specifically checks certificates. This can be the case if you use your own certificate store (keystore) that does not allow automatic update, or if your system checks the so-called fingerprint of the certificate.

If in doubt please contact the technical manager of your SMS application or our support.

The renewal takes place within the time frame of:

  • 09.04.2015 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM CET

2015-03-08 Temporary offline
Because of a technical malfunction within the network infrastructure the ASPSMS system was not available between 07:05 PM and 07:50 PM (CET).

The problem was solved.

2015-01-30 Disturbance in the Swiss GSM network
Due to a serious malfunction in the Swiss GSM network various destinations are unavailable since 18:56 clock. SMS to Swiss ASPSMS Global Two-Way numbers are also affected. All SMS are buffered and are delivered once the fault has been corrected. The Problem was solved at 20:39 o clock.

2014-12-05 Temporary offline
Because of a technical malfunction at one of our Backbone-Providers our systems were not reachable starting from 00:09 o clock and it was not possible to send SMS.
The Problem was solved at 01:59 o clock.

2014-10-18 Orange Switzerland
On 18.10.2014 between 03:21 and 12:05 CET, SMS to Orange Switzerland were not delivered, because of a serious malfunction on Operator side. The problem was solved at 12:05 CET.

2014-10-14 Temporary offline
Because of a technical malfunction within the infrastructure the ASPSMS system was partially not available between 04:30 PM and 17:10 PM (CET).

The problem was solved.

2014-08-01 Text messages to Germany
On Friday, August 1st our GSM partner responsible for Germany had a serious malfunction. Although text messages could be sent to the ASPSMS system, they were not delivered and also no delivery status was displayed. The disturbance occurred around 8:00 clock and lasted until the afternoon. The text messages were later delivered with delay.

2014-06-26 Temporary offline
Because of a technical malfunction within the virtual infrastructure the ASPSMS system was not available between 07:20 PM and 08:19 PM (CET).

The problem was solved.

2014-04-16 Temporary offline
Because of a technical malfunction within the virtual infrastructure the ASPSMS system was not available between 04:22 PM and 04:41 PM (CET). Until 05:05 PM there were several short service interruptions.

The problem was solved.

2014-03-05 Global Two-Way SMS problem resolved:Incoming messages to UK Global Two-Way numbers are properly processed again.

2014-03-04 Global Two-Way SMS malfunction: Due to a malfunction in the international SMS signalling, Global Two-Way SMS is not working properly at the moment. The affected Global Two-Way numbers are UK numbers (+44...).
Swiss or Finnish numbers are working properly and without any problems.
Because of the malfunction SMS are not getting delivered at all or with huge delays. The corresponding networks are aware of the malfunction and are working with high priority to solve this issue.

2014-02-03 Temporary offline: At 6:30 pm MEZ we have been offline for about 20 minutes. The system is up again and working.

2013-10-09 Payment system up and working again: The interruption of the payment service is managed. You may order your ASPSMS credits or Global Two-Way SMS number as usual.


2013-10-08 Technical problem with payment service: We expect the payment service to be available again 2013-10-09. Don't hesitate to contact our support in case of urgency.


2013-07-11 Under certain circumstances it was possible that the delivery notifications of the operator Orange Switzerland were not properly returned to the ASPSMS system. However, the text messages were delivered. The issue has been solved and everything works perfect.

2013-05-18 We will perform important maintenance works to improve the ASPSMS system on Tuesday, June 18th 2013. This may lead to one or several short service interruptions within the time frame from 02:00 AM - 05:00 AM CET.


2013-04-17 From 09:30 - 15:00 clock, it could happen under certain circumstances, that the ASPSMS system was not accessible by DLL on port 80 because of a firewall malfunction.


2013-02-22 Because of an IP conflict within the virtual infrastructure the ASPSMS system was not available from 02:57 PM on for approx. 45min.
The problem was solved.

2013-01-29 A major malfunction within an ASPSMS substructure required unplanned maintenance on January 29th 2013. Because of that, the ASPSMS system was not available from 21:44 to 23:21 CET.

Due to maintenance works on the infrastructure of our power supplier and the power grid of our data center, the ASPSMS System will not be available Wednesday, 09/12/2012 for approx. 1h within the time frame 04:00 AM - 06:30 AM CET and Monday, 09/17/2012 for approx. 1.5h within the time frame 04:00 AM - 06:30 AM CET.

2011-01-27 From 2011/01/26 02:45 PM - 2011/02/27 11:08 AM it was under certain circumstances not possible to send SMS through xml2.aspsms.com. The system answered with the not correct error message "26 IP-Address not Authorized for this Operation". The malfunction was corrected.

2011-08-31 Due to a technical malfunction the ASPSMS System was not able to deliver SMS between 10:53 and 11:05.

2011-08-31 Due to a technical malfunction at one of our network partners infrastructure ASPSMS was not able to deliver SMS immediately.
All SMS have been delivered after the problem was solved. The issue lasted from 10:22 until 11:27 am.

2010-02-08 Because of a technical malfunction of the XML interface it was not possible to connect to it for some time. The other interfaces where not affected of this problem. The error has been solved and the XML interface works faultless.

2009-09-25 Because of a technical malfunction (disruption of a fibre optic cable) at one of our Backbone-Providers our systems were not reachable starting from 10.50 o clock and it was not possible to send SMS. The failure was identified and fixed. Since 12:41 o clock all systems are accessible and sending SMS works faultless.

2009-08-14 Because of a technical malfunction at one of our Backbone-Providers our systems were again not reachable starting from 16:58 o clock and it was not possible to send SMS. The problem was solved around 18:50 o clock.

2009-08-13 Because of a technical malfunction at one of our Backbone-Providers our systems were again not reachable starting from 19:58 o clock and it was not possible to send SMS. The problem was solved around 22:44 o clock.

2009-08-12 Planned maintenance

Our backbone providers will be performing an emergency maintenance due to technical issues on

The reason for this planned work is:

They have to carry out emergency maintenance work, because of the outage 2 days ago. The faulty equipment will be totally exchanged. They are not able to postpone this planned maintenance due to security reasons. A new outage could occur.

Max downtime per Service: 2 hours.

No SMS can be sent during downtime.

2009-08-10 Because of a technical malfunction at one of our Backbone-Providers our systems were again not reachable starting from 16:42 o clock and it was not possible to send SMS. The problem was solved 2009-08-11 around 01:00 o clock.

2009-08-10 Because of a technical malfunction at one of our Backbone-Providers our systems were not reachable starting from 12:15 o clock and it was not possible to send SMS. The problem was solved around 16:05 o clock.

2009-02-02 Orange Switzerland
Because of a configuration issue on our distributed transaction infrastructure, it was possible, that some short messages, sent to 004178 Orange Switzerland mobile numbers during the time period from 23.01. to 02.02.2009 might not have been properly delivered. The problem is solved in the meantime.

2008-01-21 Planned maintenance 20:00 - 20:20 CET.
Delivery may be delayed during maintenance window. Although, we do not expect any messages to be lost.
